These Terms and Conditions apply to all services provided by D.E.A.N.S Repairs ("we", "us", "our"). By booking a repair, using our services, or accessing our website, you agree to these Terms.
1. Customer Responsibility for Data
Customers are fully responsible for backing up all data before submitting a device for repair.
D.E.A.N.S Repairs accepts no liability for:
- Data loss
- Data corruption
- Software issues
- Loss of SIM or memory card data
Repairs may require resetting or replacing components that result in data loss.
2. Diagnostic & Repair Estimates
All estimates are based on initial inspection and are subject to change if additional faults are discovered during the repair process.
We will contact you for approval if:
- The cost increases significantly
- Additional parts or labour are required
If you decline further work, a diagnostic fee may still apply.
3. Prior Repair Attempts
Devices that have been previously opened, repaired, or tampered with by the customer or a third-party repair shop may carry a higher risk of failure during repair.
D.E.A.N.S Repairs is not liable for additional faults or damage caused by prior repair attempts.
If a device with prior repair attempts is deemed beyond economical or technical repair, a £20 diagnostic and labour fee will apply to cover time spent assessing the device.
4. Liquid Damage Devices
Devices showing signs of liquid or moisture damage require extensive diagnostic work and carry a high risk of further failure, even if initially restored.
A £10 liquid damage diagnostic fee applies to all liquid-damaged devices to cover technician time and assessment.
We do not guarantee long-term reliability of liquid-damaged devices, and warranty does not cover recurring faults related to liquid exposure.
5. Repair Warranty (Limited)
We provide a 6-month warranty on parts replaced and workmanship only for the specific repair carried out.
This warranty does NOT cover:
- Accidental or impact damage
- Liquid or moisture damage
- Software issues, viruses, or updates
- Wear and tear
- Battery degradation over time
- Tampering, opening, or repair by third parties
- Unrelated faults that occur after the repair
Warranty is void if the device has been mishandled, modified, or repaired elsewhere after our service.
Proof of repair may be required for any warranty claim.
6. Pre-Existing Damage
We are not responsible for:
- Pre-existing faults
- Weak components that fail during normal repair procedures
- Cosmetic imperfections revealed once cases, screens, or components are removed
Some repairs carry inherent risk due to device condition, age, or prior damage.
7. Parts Used
Replacement parts may be:
- New
- Refurbished
- Third-party equivalent
We do not guarantee manufacturer-original parts unless explicitly agreed in writing.
8. Turnaround Times
Repair timeframes are estimates only and not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to:
- Parts availability
- Supplier issues
- Hidden faults
- High workload periods
We are not liable for losses resulting from repair delays.
9. Device Collection & Storage
Customers must collect devices promptly once notified.
Devices not collected within 60 days of notification may be treated as abandoned goods. We reserve the right to:
- Dispose of the device
- Recycle the device
- Sell the device to recover costs
No compensation will be payable after this period.
10. Payment Terms
Payment is due in full upon completion of the repair and before collection.
We accept:
- Cash
- Bank transfer
Devices will not be released until full payment has been received.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, D.E.A.N.S Repairs shall not be liable for:
- Loss of data
- Loss of income or business
- Loss of use of device
- Indirect or consequential losses
- Existing faults that worsen during repair
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the repair service.
12. Unrepairable Devices
If a device cannot be repaired:
- A diagnostic or labour fee may still apply
- We are not liable for the device’s condition if repair attempts were authorised
Some faults are not economically viable or technically possible to repair.
13. Customer Conduct
We reserve the right to refuse or stop service if a customer is:
- Abusive
- Threatening
- Harassing
In such cases, any work completed must still be paid for.
14. Website Use
Information on our website is provided for general guidance only. We reserve the right to change:
- Pricing
- Services
- Policies
Without prior notice.
15. Privacy
We only collect customer information necessary to complete repairs and contact you regarding your device. We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties except where required by law.
16. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
